Responsible for data analytics and artificial intelligence efforts within the internal audit department. Supports the audit team in identifying and delivering on opportunities and monitors success through KPIs. Leads execution of department innovation projects and initiatives.
Job Description Responsibilities
- Deliver data analytics and artificial intelligence solutions to enhance internal audit delivery and operations.
- Manage relationships with the internal audit team and act as a trusted advisor in application of data analytics and artificial intelligence.
- Evolve the function through innovation projects to provide management and stakeholder insights while streamlining processes.
- Support Management in the development of data analytics and artificial intelligence strategies, objectives, and performance metrics
- Identify opportunities and recommendations to enhance the audit function.
- Contribute to development and delivery of data analytics and artificial intelligence training.
- Develop and maintain department Power BI dashboards.
- Develop a general understanding of the business and systems within the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
- Three years of experience in data analytics, process improvement or other relevant work.
- Basic understanding of audit principles or willingness to learn.
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills (VBA), understanding of data tools for visualization (Power BI including DAX and M-language), and basic proficiency in SQL.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills. Proactively identify and communicate roadblocks and contribute to identifying solutions.
- Communication and presentation skills for requirements gathering, team support, and delivery of analysis.
- Ability to multi-task and manage time and priorities to deliver on assignments and meet milestones.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic and complex environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Data Analytics or related degree
- Basic knowledge and experience with artificial intelligence
- Background in the insurance/financial services industry.
- Working knowledge of Python, R or other programming and analysis tools.
