Below you can find a summary of the core elements of Aegon’s Collective Labor Agreement*. 

Upon commencement of employment, you will receive a copy of the collective labor agreement (CLA) and an overview of existing internal regulations that apply. This can be provided in either written or digital format. The CLA is always accessible to all employees on Aegon's intranet.

Monthly flex budget 

In addition to the monthly salary every employee receives a flex budget. The flex budget consists of 8% holiday allowance, 8.33% thirteenth month’s salary and 0.37% (total of 16.7%) of the monthly salary. The 0.37% serves as compensation for the employment benefits such as non-statutory holiday days and Good Friday no longer being a national holiday, which were discontinued in the past. The flex budget is paid to the employee monthly, unless the employee purchase or reserve ‘products’ with the flex budget such as: purchase leave hours, bicycle plan, trade union contribution or reserving budget for later.  

Travel expenses 

For commuting to and from work, Aegon offers a travel allowance. The allowance is based on the total travel distance (outward and return journey, maximized at 120 km). However, you can also opt for an NS-Business Card or a lease bicycle with an NS-Business Card as an alternative. In some cases a lease car is provided for new joiners that structurally drive over 15,000 kilometers for business purposes per year.

Working from home budget 

Flexibility is central to our model, which provides you with the balance of going into the office two days per week, or 40% of your time per month, and continuing to work from home. 

Our hybrid approach strengthens collaboration, relationship building and learning, while offering the benefits of remote working. The benefits of interacting and working with people face-to-face cannot be underestimated and are important social elements of our culture. 

Aegon will help you set up your home office by making available a budget of €995 including VAT. This budget will allow you to choose a desk, desk chair and monitor once every five years in order to set up your home office.
