Investment Research Analyst - Transamerica AM

Responsibilities:
Assist with analysis across economics, regulatory impacts, investments, products, commentaries, and portfolios; contribute to reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Collaborate with Sr Investment Research Analyst and Senior Manager to help translate findings into actionable recommendations.
Develop market and competitor research to provide data-driven insights in partnership with Investment Management, Product Management, and Research and Reporting teams.
Prepare and interpret reports to illustrate structural and statistical characteristics of investment portfolios, vehicles, and strategies.
Liaise with Distribution team on behalf of Research and Reporting to optimize the data and reporting options for the field.
Leverage cloud analytics platform and new technology in research process.
Stay informed on industry trends, sub-advisers, and products to ensure relevant research.
May participate in cross-functional projects and meetings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
Two years of experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
Knowledge of mutual funds, insurance products, and investment terminology.
Understanding of financial services investment processes and pricing.
Ability to identify trends and patterns in data and support informed decision-making.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills including the ability to organize and synthesize data to reach conclusions.
Passion for learning and deep interest in the capital markets, economy, and investing.
Attention to detail combined with a solutions-oriented mindset.
Grace under pressure with an ability to adapt to get things done.
Proficient in MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with market research tools such as eVestment, Morningstar Direct, and Bloomberg.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL, and/or Python.
Progress towards Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Working Conditions:

The salary for this position generally ranges between $70,000 - $80,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally, the position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
