Senior Global Architect
Responsibilities
- Work with business and IT leaders to become fluent in technology driven economic trend that impact Aegon’s markets; highlight how digital business initiatives have the potential to impact Aegon operations.
- Articulate the technical, financial, product or service, sales and marketing, and support requirements that enable Aegon to innovate and transform business models through mature enterprise architecture practices
- Provide hands on knowledge of existing or developing technologies in line with the Global IT direction.
- Design, maintain and use global architecture standards, patterns and solution architectures.
- Enable the enterprise architecture metamodel, supporting architecture modeling, impact analysis, and decision-making across business, application, and technology domains.
- Maintain business relationships to influence executives, directors and reports.
- Operate in a matrix management model to work with global constituents in the design phase of strategic programs.
- Define technical standards globally in relation to existing or new technologies and working with the country units to incorporate the local view into standards.
- Take ownership of detailed solution architecture artifacts that result from the analysis of technologies.
- Consult with project teams to fit projects to architecture; modify solution architecture to accommodate project needs.
- Promote enterprise architecture, its processes, outcomes and ongoing results to the organization.
- Keep up-to-date on the latest technologies through continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems or related field, or equivalent
- training/experience
- Five years of IT experience, including two years in IT architecture
- Experience in the technical delivery of digital projects using dev ops technologies
- Working knowledge of the insurance and financial services industry
- Experience leading complex IT projects
- In-depth understanding of architecture methods, techniques and tooling
- Decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to influence others and explain complex information to a broad audience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Compensation
The Salary for this position generally ranges between $120,000 - $145,000 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.

This is a hybrid position requiring three days in office per week in one of our hub locations (Philadelphia, PA; Cedar Rapids, IA; Denver, CO). Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
