Lead Desktop Implementation Strategist
Job Description Summary:
This position will be part of the GTS Partner Management function, responsible for managing strategic technical and operational partnerships with 3rd party organizations who will supply various operational functions to AEGON. The role of Lead IT Desktop Strategist will work to identify opportunities to improve service performance.
What You Will Do:
- Responsible for maintaining GTS-s Desktop Technology Strategy, ensuring that corresponding strategic goals are planned, advanced and achieved, and that they deliver business value.
- Provides direction for the vendor desktop strategy to ensure those technologies are cohesive and in sync
- Provide hands on technology expertise to current desktop systems
- Strengthens alignment by participating in in strategic and operational planning activities involving GTS service owners and top technical staff.
- Provides consulting on operational processes to maintain strategic alignment and minimize customer impact.
- Provides consulting for architecture team in reviewing strategic technologies and solution design.
- Conducts research for IT projects that are strategic in nature.
What You Will Need:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or technically related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 7 years demonstrated related experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills enabling effective articulation of strategy
- Breadth of knowledge across majority of technology disciplines including web, database, data center, network, and workforce computing technologies
- Proven understanding of cloud technologies available and vendors providing cloud services
- Strong understanding of technology architecture principles
- Ability to convert complex information into simple, explainable solutions
- Understanding of current and future business needs met by infrastructure platforms
- Possesses a strong planning orientation with integrative and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts and coach others in new technologies and strategies
- Ability to drive and achieve consensus/support from large diverse groups

Compensation:
The US salary for this position generally ranges between $125,600 - $172,700 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally in the US, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
