Senior Analyst, Real Assets Research - Aegon AM
Responsibilities:
- Collect, organize, and summarize data on macroeconomy, commercial real estate, capital markets, and other real assets industries.
- Monitor and analyze economic, demographic, and industry trends that impact commercial real estate markets.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate research findings to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Collect and analyze data to address research questions across Real Assets platform.
- Monitor and analyze economic, demographic, and industry trends that impact commercial real estate markets.
- Provide support for client presentations, proposals, and strategic planning sessions.
- Stay current with industry developments and best practices in real estate research and analysis.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, economics, or related field.
- Three years of related experience.
- Understanding market fundamentals that impact the asset classes being researched.
- Working knowledge of commercial real estate, economics, and finance including familiarity with data sources.
- Critical thinking, technical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in the use of computer tools such as Excel, PowerPoint and aptitude for quickly learning new skills and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, GIS).
- Time-management, planning and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Self-starter with proven initiative and ability to work independently and on multiple priorities.
- Experience with real estate market analysis software (e.g., CoStar, REIS, Argus).
- Completion or progress toward CFA.
- MBA or Master’s degree in related field.
- Other industry certifications (MAI, CCIM).

The salary for this position position generally ranges between $75,000 - $82,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
