Associate Director, Commercial Mortgage Loan Production - Aegon AM
Responsibilities:
- Produce CMLs meeting client (balance sheet and securitized) pricing and quality requirements.
- Provide a full range of underwriting services and support on own transactions as well as team transactions.
- Creatively structure CMLs to address specific risks while maintaining an appropriate risk profile according to client objectives.
- Evaluate applicant’s credit needs, financial strength, abilities and other information to determine if a CML is an acceptable risk profile for the client.
- May screen deals for other team members according to client objectives.
- Effectively and efficiently communicate the essence of loan transactions (written and oral) to the real estate investment committee and to other internal parties.
- May include supervision responsibilities of analysts and/or interns.
- Responsible for special projects assigned by Team Leader or Head of CML Production Department.
- Provide a full range of underwriting services and support for assigned portfolio assets as well as in collaboration with other team members assets.
- Evaluate Borrower requests on loans in client portfolios and recommend acceptable solutions while maximizing the return on investment for the client.
- May include client management and/or marketing duties.

Required Qualifications:
- Incumbent must possess four year or graduate degree with four years of experience, broad knowledge and experience in underwriting and production, negotiation skills, presentation skills, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Real estate finance, finance and/or accounting degree preferred with industry experience of 5 or more years. Proficiency in Argus software
- Experience in production of core plus, bridge and/ or mezzanine loans preferred.

The salary for this position position generally ranges between $115,000 - $140,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
