Salary: A competitive salary from £33,520 – £50,280 depending on the experience you can bring

We are seeking a detail-oriented Investment Proposition Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be part of the Investment Oversight team, which is dedicated to analysing and managing investment fund data to support decision-making processes.

This department plays a crucial role in monitoring the performance and value of investment funds, aligning with customer expectations and regulatory requirements. The team collaborates closely with fund managers, governance groups, and other stakeholders to maintain a robust and efficient Fund Governance framework.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Using  analysis to validate and recommend actions for fund reviews or funds on the watchlist. Assessing funds against key criteria such as cost, performance, risk, and customer expectations. 

  • Providing input and support for the Aegon's Fund Governance Group decision-making process. Assisting with and recommending fund changes, launches and closures. Producing regular Fund Estate overviews, identifying trends, and sharing insights. Managing Fund MI production and distribution, maintaining fund data, and supporting SME requests.

  • Supporting fund management by gathering insights, collating performance information, and attending Fund Manager meetings.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Strong skills in investment and fund analysis, including performance analysis, peer group comparison, risk assessment, and correlation analyses. 

  • Proficiency in data management and analysis using Excel and other tools. 

  • Ability to interrogate and assess complex data and draw insights. 

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complexity. 

  • An evidence-based approach with a keen attention to detail. 

  • Awareness of industry performance systems and data providers (e.g., Financial Express, Morningstar). 

  • Understanding of fund management practices, retail and institutional fund structures, and performance measurement tools. 

  • Awareness of investment regulations (e.g., Investment Rules, TCF, COBS). 

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in Investment performance (or similar analysis) is desirable.

  • We’re serious about your future and our enhanced pension scheme is now in place.  We ask you to contribute 3% of your salary to your pension and we’ll put in 9%.  If you decide to contribute more, we’ll match it up to a combined total of 20% of your salary (that’s 7% from you and 13% from us).
