Aegon's Corporate Communications and Brand (CC&B) department, within the Corporate Center, focuses on building and maintaining a solid reputation and distinctive brand for Aegon (and its subsidiaries) across internal and external stakeholders to support the company's strategic objectives. The Brand team zooms in on brand strategy, brand/visual identity management, and oversees execution in events and studio operations. In addition the Brand team are also responsible for the global community investment initiatives, which involve identifying and supporting projects that align with the company's purpose of helping people live their best lives.

Role purpose and position:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern who has a keen interest in community development who can work in our professional, internationally focused and fun team. This role will primarily support our community investment projects while contributing to various brand-related tasks. You’ll be working on multiple projects, some with tight deadlines and will be interacting with a wide range of stakeholders from different cultural backgrounds.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the development and execution of brand and visual identity projects.

  • Support global/local community investment initiatives and projects, contributing to the research and potential planning of these initiatives, identifying key areas for impact and collaborating with stakeholders to develop strategic recommendations.

  • Collaborate with the Communications team and other internal stakeholders on branding initiatives.

  • Support the exploration of the potential role of AI in branding and visual identity, researching emerging trends and technologies to inform potential solutions and new ideas.

  • (Proactively) participate in team and department meetings and brainstorms.

  • Provide administrative support as needed, including scheduling, document preparation, and other tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate/bachelor program – eg: international business, business administration, creative business, media communication and branding.

  • Interest and passion for brand and community development.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven MS Office skills and experience – specifically for PowerPoint presentations.

  • Native or near native English.

  • The Internship allowance is 650 EUR per month

  • It is required to be enrolled at a university to take part in this internship.
  • Next to that you will need a Dutch BSN-number and Dutch bank account.
  • If you are a non-EU/EER student, you will need a valid residence permit stating that you may work ('arbeid vrij toegestaan').
