Underwriting Trainer II
Responsibilities
- Apply best practices in curriculum design and delivery to department staff and stakeholders in alignment with industry and company requirements.
- Develop clear and measurable learning criteria for different levels of underwriting knowledge and technical expertise.
- Keep current on regulatory rules, product offerings, and technology advances. Share insights through group and individual training.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training/identify gaps and collaborate with management on ways to enhance the learning experience.
- Assess team needs to identify and create opportunities for career development and employee engagement.
- Participate in cross-functional projects/programs requiring collaboration with Underwriting.
Qualifications
- Six years of underwriting experience in the insurance/financial services industry
- Skilled in underwriting training or project/process management in a corporate environment
- Outstanding written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Ability to communicate technical information in a learning environment
- Strong documentation and writing/editing skills
- Creative thinker and collaborator to design engaging learning and development programs
- Proficiency using MS Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or finance
- FLMI, FALU, or CLU certification
Working Conditions
- Work remote from home
The Salary for this position generally ranges between $88,000-110,000 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally, this position is typically eligible for a 12.5% Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
