Senior Quality Software Engineer
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions aligned with established quality standards and best practices.
- Execute functional, regression, API, and integration testing for complex applications and microservices.
- Contribute to test strategy and test plan development for assigned products or platforms.
- Develop and maintain automated tests integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in code reviews and design discussions to ensure testability and quality.
- Identify, document, and track defects, performing root-cause analysis as needed.
- Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams to ensure reliable test execution in cloud and containerized environments.
- Support performance, reliability, and security testing efforts.
- Communicate test results, risks, and quality insights to technical stakeholders.
- Continuously improve test coverage, automation reliability, and developer feedback loops.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience working with modern distributed applications, databases, and microservices.
- 3 years of hands-on experience in software quality engineering, including automated and manual testing.
Technical Skills
Programming & Architecture
- Proficiency in .NET/C# and/or Java with Spring Framework.
- Working knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming, service-oriented and microservices architecture, dependency injection, and core design patterns.
Automation, Testing & Observability Tooling
- Test Automation Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, REST-assured, NUnit, JUnit.
- BDD frameworks: Cucumber or SpecFlow.
- Performance & Reliability: Meter, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk.
CI/CD & DevOps
- Experience (3 years) with Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift within CI/CD pipelines.
Cloud & Data Platforms
- Experience (3 years) testing applications deployed in AWS and/or Azure, including EC2, ECS, S3, Azure VMs, Blob Storage, Cosmos DB, Event Hubs, Data Factory, and SQL Data Warehouse.
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code such as ARM Templates.
UI & Web Technologies
- Experience (3 years) with Angular, React, or Vue.js, ASP.NET MVC, HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and AJAX.
AI-Driven Development (Preferred)
- Exposure to AI-assisted development and testing practices to improve test creation, defect analysis, and quality insights.
- Experience with Kiro for AI-driven development or testing is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud certifications such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience in financial services or regulated industries.
Working Conditions

Compensation
The Salary for this position generally ranges between $95,000 - $120,000 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
