Director Fund Administration - Transamerica Asset Management
Responsibilities
- Overall management of the financial reporting process, including coordination of annual audits with independent accountants. Review annual and semi-annual reports and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP reporting requirements. Review SEC Form filings (e.g., N-CEN, N-CSR, N-PORT, and others)
- Sign off on disclosure control procedures in support of audits, monthly N-PORT filings, annual N-CEN, prospectus, and principal financial/executive officer certifications.
- Maintain effective valuation procedures and ensure routine valuation activities are completed.
- Monitor all aspects of fund expenses including expense ratios, expenses caps and recapture program.
- Manage comprehensive oversight program of third-party sub administrator.
- Chair and/or participate on internal committees that report to fund management.
- Prepare and present board reports to the independent board of directors.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Recommend enhancements of internal controls, improvements of workflow approaches/methods and systems enhancements.
- Actively develop teams through continued training and education; create engaging and rewarding environment to work in; Reinforce extreme ownership and high levels of accountability.
- Establish procedures, set up, and implement new products and/or ensure changes to existing products are implemented correctly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
- 10 years of experience in the investment management industry specifically in fields of fund accounting and/or mutual fund administration.
- 7 years of experience leading teams in complex environments.
- 5 years of experience working with independent fund boards.
- Strong understanding of mutual fund industry regulations and US GAAP.
- Thorough knowledge of collective investment trusts and other investment products.
- Experience presenting to and engaging with independent mutual fund boards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and executive presence.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or CPA
Working Conditions
- Hybrid- In office 2-3 days per week (if candidate is in Denver)
- Moderate travel

The Salary for this position generally ranges between $185,000 - $225,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company discretion.
