Registered Product Specialist
Responsibilities:
Communicate with other business units, departments, and staff to meet required service level standards in relationship to product development.
Execute processes of a filing from start to finish.
Work with appropriate Counsel to provide timely and accurate responses to SEC comments related to registered product features and disclosure.
Assist in interpretation of Federal rules, laws, and regulations to determine the effect on new and existing registered products.
Create and submit federal securities required filings with the SEC.
Maintain files for multiple federal securities required filings.
Assist in the development of VA & VUL registered product language and manage the filing process with the SEC.
Create and maintain underlying fund information for distribution to other department personnel.
Establish and maintain relationships with the fund companies for VA & VUL products.
Coordinate the annual and semi-annual report mailings with the various fund companies.
Prepare all SEC VA, VUL & RILA filings for EDGAR filing with the SEC (electronic format for various filings Form).
Prepare and file with the New York State Insurance Department the Plan of Operation for the TFLIC VA & VUL products.
Prepare and file with the California State Insurance Department the annual filing required for new products or fund changes for VA & VUL products.
Work with Legal and Compliance to assist in the coordination of responses to litigation, market conduct and regulatory exam requests.
Extract data from various administrative systems for policyholder mailings due to proxy or supplement filings.
Compliance with IMSA Code of Ethics.
Other tasks as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a business field or equivalent education and experience
Fundamental knowledge of industry and regulations, with emphasis on registered product filings preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain product concepts to a variety of audiences
Ability to analyze and understand data through effective research and organizational skills
Ability to collaborate and manage tasks and assignments
Proficient PC skills (project management software, spreadsheet and database software, and internet research)

The Salary for this position generally ranges between $49,500 - $65,500 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
