As part of the Client Transition Services (CTS) management team, oversee staff that manage the onboarding of new plan sponsor retirement plans and the conversion of existing plans from other providers.
Responsibilities
Transition
- Manage a team of Client Onboarding Managers within an assigned region or market segment to ensure timely and quality service to clients.
- Set team goals and provide clear direction and guidance to ensure timely and quality results.
- Oversee day-to-day plan, data, and conversion consultant responsibilities; identify and communicate issues that may impact the success of the transition.
- Interview, hire, and train staff. Conduct team meetings and provide ongoing performance feedback.
Compliance/Technical
- Keep abreast of technical developments in the employee benefits field; communicate implications to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Review and authorize daily financial transactions.
Relationship Management
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with the sales team, client management, and external partners; ensure team aligns with internal and external resources to meet project deliverables.
- Serve as an escalation point for case related issues across teams and market segments; develop and implement processes for mitigation of future issues and management of customer expectations.
- Search for ways to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and “value added” for internal and external customers.
- Assist in the evaluation of new business opportunities. Partner with Sales on new prospects and present the transition process and administrative capabilities during finals and due diligence meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business field or equivalent experience
- Five years of defined contribution/pension plan experience
- Knowledge of plan administration and onboarding processes
- Knowledge of compliance and contract administration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with all levels within and outside of the organization
- Analytical and critical thinking skills to access issues and choose logical and efficient methods of resolution
- High level of diplomacy and relationship building skills
- Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities to meet changing business needs.
- Proficiency in MS Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrate expertise in managing large market plans with a focus on assets typically valued at $50 million and above.
- Experienced People Manager with a proven track record in career development and succession planning, effectively guiding team members' growth and skill advancement.
- Skilled in managing team capacity to optimize productivity and resource allocation.
- Adept at building and maintaining strong relationships both internally across departments and externally with clients and partners, fostering collaboration and trust to drive organizational success.
Working Conditions
- Office or hybrid office
The salary for this position generally ranges between $101,000 - 115,000 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus of 17.5% based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
