Intermediate First Line Risk & Control Analyst
What You Will Do:
- Support key regulatory compliance initiatives with IT impact and raise awareness of any IT risks identified to Management to support decision-making.
- Support team leads in the identification and implementation of efficiencies within procedures and related support activities.
- Support management of identified compliance gaps, including identification/treatment of associated risks to appropriate risk response outcomes.
- Assist with or provide training and awareness programs on IT compliance.
- Assist in the development and oversight of metrics and reporting capabilities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams as needed, including IT Risk (2nd Line), Information Security, Internal Controls, Internal Audit, and/or external consultants to execute controls efficiently and within expectations.
- Participate in small to mid-sized projects
What You Will Need:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, management information systems, computer science, or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT risk management, compliance, governance, or controls.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
- Excellent written/oral communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Organizational skills.
- Knowledge of IT governance frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, or ISO 27001.
- Familiarity with risk management tools and software.
- Ability to work collaboratively across the organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage with all levels of management tactfully and diplomatically while always maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Assist with fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Preferred
- Certifications in CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CISM, and ITIL are highly desirable.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Visio, Word).
- Experience working in a multi-national organization.
- Experience working in the insurance and/or finance industry.
