Intermediate Regulatory Reporting Analyst
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis - loads data to various systems and performs data reconciliations.
- Runs daily reports from various systems.
- Prepares Premium tax analysis.
- Journal entry preparation.
- Performs account reconciliations.
- Supports monthly and quarterly processes and financial presentations.
- Supports multiple reporting needs on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Works on process improvement projects
- Responsible for adherence to the company's framework of internal controls
- Participates on project teams and due diligence activities.
Other requirements and skills include:
- Extended hours for 10-15 business days a quarter during quarter end (January, April, July, October) including weekend work.
- Understanding of accounting and finance principles required with a 4-year degree in accounting or finance.
- Capability to query and work with large data along with complex excel skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English orally and in writing.
- Skill to handle multiple projects, customer service approach, willingness to take on new projects, analytical.
- Work effectively individually and within a team.
- Organizational and prioritization skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and/or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 3 years' experience, with degree. Advanced computer skills especially in Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Willing to work US hours especially during quarter end.
- Solid knowledge of accounting/financial area preferred (for example, investments, insurance products, premium).
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, ability to handle multiple projects, customer service approach, willingness to take on new projects, analytical.
- Work effectively individually and within a team; organizational and prioritization skills.
