Senior Investment Analyst
Position Overview:
The Senior Investment Analyst will be responsible for understanding each of the data domains that Data Operations is responsible for, including but not limited to Security, Party, Ratings, Benchmark, Analytics, and Pricing. The ideal candidate will be representing Data Operations/Enablement across the organization. The Analyst will utilize their business analysis and technical skills to implement new processes, enhance current ones and also complete specific daily processes within the Data Management team as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the Data Operations job functions and the impacts to downstream processes, infrastructure/architecture, and clients
- Provide oversight to daily/monthly processes, escalating issues or determining a solution to remove obstacles for the team.
- Complete assigned data tasks as required; support team members task as needed.
- Utilize critical thinking skills and apply fundamental asset knowledge to each data domain to support critical daily and monthly processes
- Perform business analysis to determine best practices within daily production/projects
- Continuous improvement mindset, improving data quality with a focus on customer service
- Participate and set high expectations of self on daily production and projects.
- Provide excellent customer service to all clients and internal customers, including being open, direct and fair in interactions with colleagues and clients
- Understand when to escalate or manage the issue within the team
- Align the team daily through morning and afternoon huddles
- Support the Global Benchmark Working Group
- Create and manage a daily hand off process between Data Operations processes to support Global requirements
- Ensure the Data Operations processes are aligning to expected KPI’s and other metrics
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related fields
- 5+ years of related experience in the financial services industry or technical analysis
- Very strong customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate and proactively address underlying customer needs to ensure positive outcomes for our clients.
- Developed analytical, complex problem recognition and resolution, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally with a variety of internal and external parties
- Ability to independently prioritize and work on multiple assignments and changing priorities.
- Provide informal leadership within in the team on a day-to-day basis, as questions or issues arise, and solution
- Ability to take broad concepts, break them down and determine a solution forward
- Lead projects and process updates, directing solutions and working with key stakeholders at higher levels of the organization
- Specifically, understand the fundamental data flows for data domains, in relation to pricing, security master, analytics, and impacts downstream and upstream in the organization
- Independently work with little manager oversight Microsoft Excel – High proficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with BlackRock’s Aladdin platform
- CFA Level I or higher
- Microsoft Power Platform
- SQL, Python
