Art is eternal, but only if it gets tender loving care along the way. Watch Lianne Schipper, curator of Aegon's Art Collection, as she visits the studio of art restorer Francien van Daalen during work on two Sol Le Witt concept pieces from our collection.
The pieces are concepts of the huge 'Wall Drawing nr 621' that Aegon commissioned from the famous conceptual artist Sol LeWitt in 1988 for our former office in the northern Dutch city of Leeuwarden.
LeWitt designed two concepts for this artwork, a red and a blue version. Both pieces need conservation attention to prolongate their life spans, and the red concept also had some bumps and scraps that needed attention.
