Senior Defined Benefits Operations Analyst
Responsibilities:
Perform complex and manual DB retirement calculations and other processes using knowledge of ERISA and actuarial based tools, taking ownership of identified issues through to resolution.
Serve as a technical resource for calculations on specialized client projects. Perform analysis including population identification based on documented criteria and manual research.
Act as a resource on technical issues pertaining to DB administration for internal partners including call center, client consultants and project team. Participate in project and implementation meetings as a contributor.
Mentor lower level team members.
Work with external client and participants on operational issues and questions.
Review batch processing,
Fulfill JIRA requests as directed,
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, math, finance, actuarial science, or related field, or equivalent experience
Six years relevant experience
In-depth understanding of retirement industry regulations and the ability to appropriately interpret rules
In-depth understanding of defined benefit pension and actuarial concepts
Good understanding of computer programming
Strong math and statistical skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex concepts to customers
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills to prioritize work
Proficiency using MS Word, Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of taxation
SQL query skills
Experience with workflow management systems (e.g. AWD)
Advanced Excel skills to develop manual calculation tools
Knowledge of database systems, such as DBOL, Microsoft Access
Working Conditions:
Non-commuting Remote employees will not be assigned to report to a Company office location (although they may need to travel to a Company office upon request) and will perform their work remotely.

The Salary for this position generally ranges between $74,000 - $85,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company discretion.
