The Job:
The Workday Payroll and Absence Configuration Analyst will be responsible for the Workday configuration, maintenance and operations support of human capital management, payroll and absence, ensuring they meet the needs of the organisation and comply with UK regulations. This role requires deep expertise in HCM, payroll and absence processes, as well as proficiency in Workday system configuration and ability to identify and recommend areas of improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Configuration and optimisation of Workday human capital management, payroll and absence management for a Global company within Workday, ensuring they are aligned with business needs, regulations and company policies.
Collaborate with Global Regional HR teams to gather requirements and design system solutions that meet business needs.
Analyse current HR and payroll processes within the Workday system to identify areas for improvement and provide expert guidance and to HR Operations/Payroll Teams on system functionalities and best practices.
Review and test twice yearly Workday Feature Releases, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Develop and execute test plans related to system configuration changes.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in a timely manner.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
Proven “hands-on” experience configuring and optimising Workday HCM, UK payroll, and absence management modules.
Strong knowledge of UK payroll processes and absence management practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication skills – in particular, an ability to connect well with non-technical stakeholders and “translate” Workday jargon into clear design requirements.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Ability to understand and clearly explain the overall impact of a system or project, even when it involves many intricate details and options for individual users, allowing one to anticipate potential issues or benefits arising from various choices.
