Salary: A competitive salary from £63,440 – £95,160 depending on the experience you can bring.

As a Solution Architect, you will report to the Lead Solution Architect and play a pivotal role in shaping our technical landscape. This is your chance to lead architectural consultancy efforts, design innovative solutions, and help create an effective, efficient and sustainable architecture for Aegon UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architectural Analysis – Collaborate with senior business and IT colleagues and conduct investigative analysis to find effective business solutions.
- Solution Architecture – Develop comprehensive solution architectures considering various perspectives (business, technical, data, security, cost, etc.). Produce detailed component specifications and logical designs. Support implementation of solutions.
- Design and Delivery – Oversee technical and solution design activities ensuring adherence to relevant standards.
- Technical Expertise – Maintain broad architectural knowledge through continuous learning and stay updated on industry best practices and developments. Provide advice and promote knowledge transfer to colleagues.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Prior experience within a Financial Services organisation with a comprehensive understanding of wealth management platforms.
- Proven experience in providing expert technical advice and consultancy to business and IT representatives, aligned with strategic portfolio demands.
- Strong relationship management skills, capable of engaging senior stakeholders and building confidence in technical delivery capabilities.
- A deep understanding of the business impact and benefits of projects within a change and transformation environment.
- A systematic approach to problem-solving, with a solid grasp of the software engineering life cycle and effective information systems implementation.
- Extensive knowledge of information systems and solutions within Financial Services.
- Familiarity with AWS services and architecture best practice.
