Financial reporting specialist
As Financial reporting specialist you are part of Aegon’s Holdings accounting and reporting team. The Holdings team is part of the Corporate Financial Center of Aegon Ltd. The primary objective of the Corporate Financial Center is to provide Aegon’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee with meaningful (non-) financial information (e.g. capital, income, balance sheet, sales etc.) to support the board’s decision-making process and deliver legally required reporting.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participating in budgeting, controlling, reporting for Aegon Holdings within deadline (including reporting to Group, DNB and for statutory purposes)
- Keeping contact with the colleagues of the Aegon Holdings Accounting & Control team and other Corporate Financial Center teams related to finance matters.
- The operation of the reporting systems, continuous improvement and follow-up instruction for reporting issued by the Group and Management
- Participate in Solvency / Capital management and reporting activities
- Participate in the preparation of the annual reports of Aegon Ltd. and its intermediate holding companies
- Participating/ organizing relevant activities of Holdings team
- Finalization of assigned tasks in accordance with quality / control requirements on time
- Communicating the results of different analytical and control activities
- Exchange relevant information with colleagues where it is useful to increase the effectiveness of the financial function
- Prepare ad hoc reports
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or economics
- Proven experience of at least 5 years in financial reporting as a financial controller, financial analyst or a relevant similar role
- Experienced Excel-user and proficient in using accounting software.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good English skills, spoken and written
- Good sense of humor

Compensation levels depend upon an applicant’s qualifications and will be determined by hiring supervisors/managers and HR.
You will receive a thirteenth month and a holiday allowance in the form of a monthly flex budget, amounting to 16.7% of your monthly salary
