Senior technical IT Auditor
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Technical IT Auditor with deep technical expertise and strong auditing experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead complex IT audits, identify potential risks, evaluate controls, and provide insights to strengthen our technology environment. Responsibilities
- Lead the IT audit process by defining scope, testing controls, reporting findings, and conducting follow-up reviews to ensure effective risk management and compliance with regulatory, organizational standards and best practices (e.g., CIS, COBIT, NIST).
- Conduct in-depth technical audits across a variety of IT domains, including cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, database management, application security, network architecture to ensure comprehensive risk assessment and control effectiveness.
- Ensuring data analytics is utilized trough the audit process to drive data-driven insight
- Collabrate with IT and business units to communicate audit findings and provide actionable recommendations that enhance IT governance, risk management, and control effectiveness.
- Stay informed of emerging IT risks, technologies, and regulatory requirements that may impact the business and audit processes.
- Potential for some pre-planned international travel to support audit activity
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, and CRISC.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT auditing, Cybersecurity, or related IT roles.
- In-depth understanding or hands on expirience regarding IT infrastructure, networking, application development, cloud environments, and information security. Knowledge of industry frameworks (e.g., MITRE, CIS), standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively, with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders (both verbaly and in written)
- Proficiency with data analytics and audit tools and experience in automated audit techniques is preferred
- Good sense of humor

- Compensation levels depend upon an applicant’s qualifications and will be determined by hiring manager and HR.
- You will be able to work from home and in the office.
- You are entitled to 210,5 hours holiday per year and 17 hours for work life balance and you can buy up to 143 hours of additional holiday hours;
- Every 5 years you have the opportunity to go on partially paid sabbatical leave for two months.

- By Q2 2025 Aegon will move to our new office at Schiphol WTC.
