Financial Controller

Aegon Global Business Solutions Center supports these businesses with IT, Finance, Risk, Model Validation, Actuarial, Audit, and Asset management services with a growing team of approx. 300 people, based in Budapest, Hungary.
Purpose of the job:
As a key member of the local Finance operations team, you would perform financial controlling, planning, forecasting, and reporting tasks in relation to Aegon's Global Business Solutions Center in Budapest.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary owner of cost accounting, allocation, and reporting processes
- Maintain GBSC cost center structure
- Ensure the accuracy of financial data
- Act as primary Finance contact for intercompany customers
- Support intercompany customers with timely and accurate expense reports
- Participate in the annual financial planning process
- Collaborate with Other functions (HR, Management, IC customers) on cost budget matters
- Participate in the financial close process
- Prepare ad hoc reports
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or economics
- Proven experience of at least 5 years as a financial controller, financial analyst, or a relevant similar role
- Highly technical, advanced Excel skills (e.g. Power Query)
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good English skills, spoken and written
