Aegon today announces it is exercising its right to redeem EUR 700 million of 4% fixed-to-floating subordinated notes. The redemption of these grandfathered Tier 2 securities will be effective as of April 25, 2024, when the aggregate principal amount of EUR 700 million will be repaid, together with any accrued and unpaid interest. As previously announced, Aegon intends to refinance the notes.
The securities (ISIN code: XS1061711575) are currently listed on Euronext Amsterdam. This listing will be terminated following the redemption of the securities.
A notice of redemption will be sent to all currently registered holders of the notes by the fiscal agent, Citibank N.A., London Branch.
