Tomás Alfaro, CEO of Aegon Spain, has been recognized by the Empower Women in Insurance (EWI) network as the 'Male figure most committed to gender equality'.
The award was presented during Insurance Week in Spain last week and acknowledges Aegon Spain's contribution to the EWI Network. This is an initiative open to men and women working in the Spanish insurance industry who want to make it more egalitarian.
The Spanish Equality Act mandates that all companies with more than 50 employees in Spain must have an Equality plan. Aegon Spain's Equality Plan seeks to go further and to differentiate itself by being a truly inclusive and diverse company, where colleagues of all backgrounds feel heard, seen and understood.
