Ms. Leni Boeren brings over 40 years of experience in the financial services industry and the wider international corporate sector. Most recently, she served until 2020 as CEO of Kempen Capital Management N.V. and as a member of the Executive Board of Van Lanschot Kempen, an independent wealth manager. Prior to this role, from 2005 to 2017, Ms. Boeren was CEO and Chair of the Management Board of Robeco Groep, an international asset management firm.
Ms. Boeren held executive director-level positions at Amsterdam Exchanges and Euronext after beginning her career in banking at Paribas and Rabobank. She has also held several board positions at leading companies in the Netherlands, France, Switzerland and the United States.
Throughout her career, she has gained extensive experience in financial services, capital markets, technology-enabled businesses and digital transformation, including leading complex transformations in regulated and internationally listed organisations.
Ms. Boeren currently serves on the boards of Air France-KLM, financial technology group Mollie, NIBC Bank and cloud-banking platform Ohpen, and is a member of the Capital Market Committee of the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets. Ms. Boeren was appointed to Aegon’s Board in June 2026 for a term of four years.
